Laundry tip

Misc.

That's a good tip, Burgundy. I always try to get things out early and hang - as I do not believe in ironing.

My children are gone and living elsewhere now. But, when they were home - everyone had laundry hampers in their rooms. If the clothes were not in the hamper, Mom did not wash them. I could go in and walk on clothes laying on te floor -- but I would not pick them up, etc. I only laundred the ones IN THE HAMPER. After several HUGE moans and groans about 'where is my such-and=such top -- I REALLY need it' -- and their discovering it was under the bed or on a chair. They learned. They could then wash it themselves.... tho we also had a rule that you did not wash just 1 thing ..... conserve water.

I have to say that by the time they got to college, they KNEW how to wash clotes and they knew what a laundry hamper was for! So did my husband!
