My #1 Laundry Tip...

Misc.

When I ask my adult students, "What is the FIRST thing you should do when preparing to do the laundry?" The answers vary from:
- sort the clothes
- dig under the kids' beds
- clear a path in the laundry room
- clear a path TO the laundry room
Get the picture?

My number one tip is:
Gather coat hangers and hang them on a clothes bar or brass hook right next to the dryer. It's that simple. Before the dryer stops, take out the most light-weight items and hang them up immediately. It cuts down on wrinkles, unnessary dryer time, ironing, etc. Try it! If you don't have a clothes-hanging bar, you can put a tension rod in a door way, get a hnaging rack that fits over a door, or screw in a couple of brass hooks (about $1) on a sturdy wall, stud, or door frame.
THEN, sort the clothes, etc. And one more thing, always measure that detergent.
