Mickey, Those Booties Sound Cute!!! (Gina's photos added)
Misc.Dear Mickey,
Those little booties sound so cute! I bet you had lots of fun decorating them!
I was inspired this year by a Christmas tree in a store window. The owner simply took 3 christmas balls and tied them the tops together with a bread twistie tie. The cluster is then tied to a branch tip, laying on the branch.
So, I bought 24 royal blue balls and 24 gold balls and decorated the tree with that. I also included christmas flowers, magnolias and vintage pixies here and there. I did go out and buy 17 boxes of 70 white twinkle lights in each, each box was 56 cents at Home Depot and the tree has all those lights. My DH is afraid it is going to catch on fire!!!!!! But it is beautiful!
I decorated my English Buffet in the DR with my collection of snowmen...I did the fireplace mantle with nutcrackers...
I hung the vintage balls and vintage ornaments wreath that I made on the front door...
...and I placed a Crazy Quilt wreath made of men's ties in the center of my island with a poinsettia in the middle.
Out front, I filled a wood wheelbarrrow with red poinsettias as well as a wicker square basket on a chair.
The giant tin snowman is sitting on the vintage iron rocker with a spotlight on it...
I kept it sweet and simple. I don't like the "amusement park" look at all. I will e-mail Betsy some pictures I have taken to post here for you to see.
I am sure all your holiday decorations are just gorgeous!
Thanks to all who share their thoughts and ideas, the tips on how to do stuff are incredible!
Happy Holidays!! Gina
