patty pans

Misc.

David, my mother-in-law grows patty pans, and she fixes them simply. She dusts both sides in flour, frys them in butter. After she turns them once, she sprinkles a little white sugar on the cooked side, so it melts and gets real good. Then, we eat them immediately. Even the seeds taste good that way, if she lets them on too long, for my father-in-law always fusses at her for picking them too small. He says you get more from them if they are bigger. Like anyone REALLY needs more squash!
