Question about Nesco Roaster Oven..

I've been looking at the 6 quart Nesco Roaster Oven, and I was wondering if it can be used like a Crockpot? I was planning on purchasing a 6 quart Crockpot when I saw the Nesco in the store, and it looks like it has many more uses than a Crockpot. Since it's on sale this week, I'm really interested in some feedback now from anyone who owns the Nesco. Specifically I would like to know if it can be left on all day when I'm at work, so our dinner would be done when we get home. Thanks to anyone who can help me!
