Re: Canned Corned Beef Sandwich
Misc.ADVERTISEMENT
I looked through some old cookbooks and on the net just wondering if that sandwich you mentioned would show up. I found a reference to a 1950s open faced sandwich made by covering split hamburger buns with canned corned beef, cheese slices and a little barbecue sauce, then heating them in the oven. That is all it said, nothing specific. Am wondering if that could be the sandwich you remember? Perhaps you weren't going back quite that far with your memory!
