I too am a life long lover of Cupid's hot dogs. Living in Sacramento California, it is not convenient to drive all the way to the Valley to get a hot dog, unless of course you also add the Bear Pit on Sepulveda Blvd. Any way I ate at Shoestrings in Placerville California and the chili dogs tasted just like Cupids. I talked with the owner and found out she was a niece of the people who started Cupids. She said that she promised her uncle that she would take the recipe to the grave with her. Now she is not selling the recipe but she is selling the chili itself to go. 12 oz $ 3.50, 16 0z. $ 5.50, 20 oz. 6.50, 32 oz $ 8.50.
