re: electric canners

I would not buy one. I know of someone who just got a Weck, after waiting months and months on order. Well, it won't even boil ! The Weck company will NOT exchange or take it back. They said once the packaging is open, you are on your own.
They are the only place I know that has them.
We also use one sometimes at the extension office. It takes a VERY long time to heat up and then once it does and you add the jars, it takes forever to come back to a boil. Sorry, but I really don't have much good to say about them.
