Re: Husband 50th party

Misc.

Our friends recently had an over the hill party. (husband and wife both turned 40 within 2 weeks of each other) She had a very cute idea. Sent her husband off on errands so she could set up. She made a grave site in the front yard. Had it roped off like a cemetry. Blankets under black plastic tarp. A headstone made out of leftover sheetrock. Titled Here lies Tom's youth. RIP. Then she set a chair near the grave. When he came back home, all the guests were by the gravesite wailing and crying. He had to sit on the chair and listen to his eulogy. Their birthday cakes were shaped like tombstones. Lots of gag gifts. He got a video titled "Old Yeller". Some one said "Grumpy Old Men" would be for his 50th. Most of the food was just appetizers, veggie pizza, meatballs and all their favorites. She had all the guests bring a snack to share and they provided the drinks.
