Misc.Banana Bars
1/2 C. butter
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 C. dairy sour cream (or buttermilk)
2 ripe bananas, mashed
2 C. (scant) flour,sifted with
1 teas. salt & 1 teas. baking soda
1 teas. vanilla
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In bowl,
mix butter,sugar,eggs,sour cream, &
bananas. Add flour mixture to banana
mixture. Spray and flour 12x18" pan.
Pour mixture into pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 30 mins. Frost with powdered
sugar and ReaLemon or Banana Butter
Frosting.
Banana Butter Frosting:
1/2 C. mashed,ripe bananas
1/2 teas. lemon juice
1/4 C. butter
3 1/2 C/ sifted powdered sugar
Mix all frosting ingredients together
and spread on cooled cake. Delicious!
Note: this recipe hails from IA,
in case you were wondering about
what adjustments might have been
made for altitude.
