Glazed Banana Nut Bars

1/2 cup butter or margarine -- softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup milk
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Glaze
1/4 cup butter or margarine -- softened
1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 3 tbl boiling water
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and spices. Combine bananas and mik. Add the dry ingred. to creamed mixture alternately with banana mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased 15x10x1" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min. or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. For glaze, cream butter and sugar in small mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla and enough water until glaze reaches desired consistency. Spread over bars. Sprinkle with nuts.
