re: liquid pectin

I have not heard of anyone with success with the liquid pectin this year. I have no idea what the problem is with it. It doesn't seem to be any certain brand, either.
The Pomona's seems to gel anything there is but it is sort of a pain trying to get the lumps out. I took a cup of the juice, heated it, then used my immersion blender to blend it. The directions say to put in the blender, but I found my immersion blender easier to haul out and use. Easy to clean, too.
Liquid pectin seems too expensive to me, too.
I ordered half pound of Pomona's from the company online. Very fast service. I think it took about 3 days is all to get it.
Some people say they don't like the Pomonas because it is not as clear looking as the store brands, but it is fine with me.
I am happy to have something that works so well and especially good for sugar free jams.
