re: penang loh mee

Misc.
Pete... You are such a sweetheart!; wanting to give your wife a gift of her memories of home. If allowed, tell us her first name and we can post some birthday or belated birthday greetings for her.

I tell you, Pete, I searched the web for hours yesterday, and gone through many recipe folders and cookbooks, trying to find that special recipe, but no luck. Is this a Malaysian specialty? (Or street hawkers?)

I've lived in many states in the U.S. and trying to find authentic ingredients, for some recipes I'm used to, is no small task. Is there a library near you that may have cookbooks from her home area? Or, perhaps the librarian can assist you ...LaDonna
