I'm not sure if this is the same recipie that Ellen has given since I cant't check my book at home, but there's a cookbook called "My Mother's Southern Kitchen" That has an absolutely wonderful recipie for "Hummingbird Cake". I made it for a dinner party and it received rave reviews.
