re: Schnauzer

Misc.

Check with your local humane society about how to aclimatize a dog to babies or children. It could be they have children volunteers to help get the dog used to (a) children's high voices (b) activity levels and (c) petting, squeezing and other such child activities. It is probably a common reason for people giving up their dogs and perhaps they have some solutions that you might not think of. Also, check for a local dog group (schnauzer specialty or general). I'm sure others have had exactly this problem and can help you determine when and whether your dog is adaptable. :)
