Spicey Fruit Pillows.

Here you go Janice, I found them quicker than I expected.
Enjoy...Angel.Spicey Fruit Pillows.

Ingredients~~

Cream Cheese Pastry.
90g cream cheese -- softened
60g caster sugar
1 egg yolk
3 Tablespoons milk
185g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 egg white -- to glaze.

Dried Fruit Filling.
60g chopped dried figs
95g chopped dried apricots
60g raisins -- chopped
60g dark chocolate -- chopped
teaspoon grated lemon rind
80ml clear honey
Large pinch ground allspice
Large pinch ground cinnamon

To Make Pastry.
Beat cheese and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in the egg yolk and milk.
Sift in the flour, salt and baking powder and form into a smooth dough.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.

To make filling.
Place all ingredients into a food processor.
Process in short bursts until finely chopped.
Preheat oven to 180 C.
Divide the filling into 3 and roll into 32cm long ropes.
Divide the pastry into 3 and, on a lightly floured surface, roll out to 10cm x 32cm rectangles.
Brush 1 length of a rectangle with water.
Lay a portion on filling on the strip of pastry near the dry side.
Roll the pastry over and press to seal.
Cut into 8 diagonal pieces and lay, seam-side down, on an ungreased baking tray.
Repeat with the remaining filling and pastry.
Mix the egg whit with a tablespoon cold water and glaze the biscuits.
Bake for 13 - 15 minutes, or until golden.
Leave for 2 -3 minutes then cool on a wire rack.
