Substitutes for: baking in coffee cans
Misc. Paula - regarding your question,
Baking in coffee cans is no longer recommended. The 'labels' are now printed right on the can and I'm told that the dyes from the print and the glue used to seal the cans may give off unsafe fumes during baking.
You can make some interesting shapes when baking by using oven-safe glassware, mixing, or serving bowls. For instance,
these Pyrex measuring cups would make very nice bread shapes. Also, check out restaurant supply shops for cylindar-shaped stainless steel pots that would work well to create a can-shaped loaf.
Happy Baking!
