TO SIXKIDS/PA & ALL/BOX FROM SCRATCH

Misc.
DEAR SIX...I ENJOYED YOUR MESSAGE. I KNOW A LOT OF BAKERS DO USE BOX MIXES. I FOUND A RECIPE FOR "BOX CAKE MIXES FROM SCRATCH". I FOUND IT SOMEWHERE ON THIS WEB SITE AND FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE IT WAS...(I"M TRYING TO FIND IT AGAIN BECAUSE IT ALSO HAD CAKE FILLING RECIPES...)ANYWAY, I TRIED THE RECIPE FOR THE WHITE CAKE AND ALSO BAKED A WHITE BOX MIX THE SAME TIME TO COMPARE THE TWO. I DID NOT ALTER THE BOX MIX IN ANY WAY ( I, TOO, USUALLY ADD VANILLA TO A BOX MIX). THE RESULTS: THE BOX MIX WAS SO BAD, I HAD TO THROW IT IN THE TRASH. THE SCRATCH CAKE WASN'T MUCH BETTER. I HAD NEVER TASTED A BOX MIX THAT WAS SO AWFUL. I SURELY DIDN'T SCREW UP A BOX MIX! (HOW CAN YOU SCREW UP A BOX MIX?) ANYWAY, IF YOU CAN FIND IT ON THIS WEB SITE, GIVE IT A TRY. MAYBE WITH YOUR EXPERIENCE, YOU CAN GET IT TO WORK. LET ME KNOW, AS I AM THE ONE WHO INITIATED THIS WHOLE DISCUSSION!!
