uses for lemons

-I have tried putting lemon wedges in a whole chicken and it is very good.
-You can also squeeze the lemons over chicken breasts while they saute, sprinkle on a little chili powder and cumino.
-Squeeze lemon on brocolli while it is steaming. Enjoy it as is or cut it up in a pasta salad.
-Make lemon ice cubes for off season. Freeze the juice in ice cube trays, then save them in a plastic bag in the freezer. Same goes for lemon zest. Grate it, seal tightly in plastic bag & freeze.
-Lemon pie is easier to make than you might think. There are recipes in almost all basic cookbooks.

Non Food ideas-
-the juice is a good rinse for blond hair.
-slices in the tube for a bath treat.
-basket of lemons, bag of sugar and juicer (the inexpensive manual type) in a basket with a bow for a gift.
-for the holidays, push whole cloves into the lemon in a simple design and hang the lemon or set out as a table decoration. As it drys it smells wonderful
