Recipe: Spicy Sausage Balls (using chili sauce)

SPICY SAUSAGE BALLS

1 lb SPICY sausage meat
1 slightly beaten egg
1/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 tsp sage
FOR THE SAUCE:
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup chili sauce (like Heinz)

Mix together sausage, egg, bread crumbs and sage. Shape into about 4 dozen balls. Brown them in a skillet on all sides. Pour off grease.

Combine catsup and chili sauce and add to meatballs. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until done.

Best kept warm in chafing dish, crock pot or skillet.

These freeze very well.

Makes 4 dozen balls
