Thanks for the information on the cake...I live in Mandeville
and that is not to for from Houma....but like every thing else since the storm they are closing and not reopening...Haydel has one but it not as good as some I have had.....some time I have left over cake and was hoping to find the recipe for it....I do like it very much...I would like to have the recipe of the cake you make...it sound so good....I am wanting to cook with my grandkids of things I enjoy as we was growing up....... as my dear grandkids said "Grandma like in your years" MY YEARS....well I let that one a long for now.
any recipe on baking cake, cookies and bread....from the south would like to have them for I lost a lot of my old recipe that I had from my Mother and Grandmother....Katina help herself to a lot of our things but we will get it back and more. some day...
