Recipe: Bar-X BBQ Sauce (using bacon and tomato soup) (1965)

Toppings - Sauces and Gravies
BAR-X BBQ SAUCE

1/2 pound sliced bacon
1 medium onion
2 cans (10 1/2 oz each) condensed tomato soup
2/3 cup catsup
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Put bacon and onion through food chopper, using medium blade. Place in a saucepan.

Add remaining ingredients and slowly bring to boiling. Simmer 2 hours.

Makes 3 cups
