Table Thang for Sharon (recipes later)

Misc.

Dear Sharon,

Here is what I did. What a joyous occasion. Enjoy the planning, the doing,
and the final event.

Table Decorations

I purchased lots of those inexpensive plastic table covers from the paper
supply store. I used pastels. Tape one onto the table first to avoid any
slips.
Then put lace table cloth on top. The plastic cloths protect against water,
etc. Here again, to avoid slippage, you may need to tape, pin, or wire the
cloths. Don't try to put the boxes on the table and then try to put the first
table cloth on. It will not drape evenly on the sides of the table. (trust me
on this, I learned the hard way)

Then, I used a 2 or 3 boxes in the center, toward the back of the table. The
highest box was in the very back. Kinda like building steps. I used my smaller
plastic cloths over the boxes then the lace. I also taped here as well. It
looked so pretty with a large flower vase on one of the higher boxes. I used a
variety of flowers keeping with the Spring colors theme.

I was able to use glass cake stands on the lower levels, the pedestals leave
you with more room for other serving bowls. I used trays on the upper levels.
As they are lighter and could not be tipped. It turned out quite pretty. Just
play with it. Beg and borrow lace table cloths of all sizes from friends and
relatives. The smaller ones work the best when covering the levels of the
boxes. I hope I explained okay for you. It is not easy to "word" all of this.
: ) Recipes to follow in another post, as I have to run downstairs to look
them up.
