Recipe: a partly-peanut butter spread

Misc.

When I was a kid (before we were all concerned about fat content!) my mother used to make a simple but delicious sandwich spread consisting of one-third peanut butter, one-third cottage cheese, and one-third raisins. If you used no-fat cottage cheese and reduced-fat PB, and perhaps lowered the proportion of PB a little, then turned the whole thing into a smooth paste in the food processor, you might end up with a tasty spread sort of like PB that was pretty low fat. I haven't tried it myself but it sounds good.
