Recipe(tried): Anzacs for Cathy NY

Misc.
Cathy (and Janice)
I thought I would post the recipe for ANZACS so Cathy would know what they are.
Also, Janice, Somebody on TSR board posted this and I asked them if they know how to keep them from going soft - let you know if they have any ideas.
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup dessicated coconut
125 grams butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 tablespoons boiling water.

Combine oats, sifted flour, sugar and coconut in large bowl. Combine butter and golden syrup in pan, stir over low heat until butter is melted. Combine soda and boiling water in small bowl - add to butter mixture. Stir bubbling mixture into dry ingredients.
Place 3 level teaspoons of mixture together about 4cm apart on greased oven trays, press down lightly. Bake in a slow oven (150 degrees Celsius) about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Loosen biscuits while warm, cool on trays.
