APPLE CHEDDAR BREAD
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup margarine
2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add beaten eggs, milk and margarine. Mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients just until combined. Spoon into a greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 65 to 70 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool.
