AWESOME DINNER ROLLS
"These are truly awesome. Very, very light and delicious. I wish I knew who the original author was so that I could give proper credit to this truly wonderful recipe."
1 cup warm water
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 egg
3 1/4 cups bread flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons yeast
Melted butter (for brushing tops)
Put ingredients in the bread pan in order directed by your manufacturer. Set for DOUGH cycle.
When finished, pull the dough apart into about 12 balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet 2-inches apart and brush with melted butter. Cover and set in a warm place to rise for about 30-40 minutes or until nearly doubled in size. (I let mine rise longer than called for with no adverse reaction.)
Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly golden brown (mine usually take only about 20 minutes). Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter again. Serve warm.
