Recipe: Baked Chicken in Cranberry Sauce

CRANBERRY CHICKEN BAKE
3 chicken breasts, boned, skinned & cut in half
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 (8 oz.) bottle Kraft Catalina dressing
1 can whole cranberry sauce
In a 9"x13" cake pan, mix the soup mix, dressing and cranberry sauce. Spread mixture evenly. Lay the chicken breasts on the mixture. Spoon some mixture over the chicken pieces. Cover with pan cover or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. If convenient, stir once or twice during the next day. To serve, bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until chicken is tender.

LOW FAT FUNNY CHICKEN
3 lbs. chicken breast, skinned
3 tbsp. brown sugar
Pepper to taste
1 env. dry onion soup mix
1 size 303 can of cranberry sauce
1 c. Kraft Free Catalina French salad dressing
Clean, skin and trim all visible fat and skin from chicken breast or other pieces of choice. Place in bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over chicken pieces. Cover and bake in 325 degree oven 1 hour. Uncover and bake 20 to 30 minutes more, until chicken is lightly browned on top and some of liquid is evaporated.

CATALINA CRANBERRY CHIX
4 skinned chicken breasts
4 skinned chicken legs
8 oz. Kraft Catalina dressing
10 oz. whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tbsp. dry onions or 1 env. onion soup mix
Mix the Catalina dressing, cranberries, and onion in a bowl. Cover the bottom of a 13 x 10 inch pan with 1/4 the mixture. Lay chicken pieces into pan, so they touch as little as possible. Spread remaining mixture over the chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Check to make sure that sauce covers the chicken or turn chicken over in 1/2 hour and continue baking.

GLAZED
1 chicken, cut in pieces
1 can whole cranberry sauce
8 oz. Russian dressing
2 pkgs. onion soup mix
Stir cranberry sauce, dressing, and soup mix together. Mix and pour over chicken pieces. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.

QUICK CHICKEN
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 (8 oz.) bottle Catalina dressing
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
3 lb. chicken breasts or game hens
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes.

PARTY CHICKEN
16 chicken parts (wings & thighs)
1 (8 oz.) French dressing (creamy)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
Mix all together and pour over chicken parts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Can be used for parties or supper dish. Other chicken parts (breast and legs, but less pieces required) can be substituted.

CRANBERRY CHICKEN
1 chicken, cut up, or 10 pieces
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 (8 oz.) bottle Kraft creamy French dressing
Place chicken pieces in a cake pan. Mix last 3 ingredients together and pour over chicken. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Serve with the sauce over rice.

CRANBERRY CHICKEN
1 (16 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
1 (8 oz.) bottle Russian Salad Dressing with honey
1 env. reg. onion soup mix
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut up
Hot cooked rice (opt.)
In a bowl, combine cranberry sauce, salad dressing and soup mix. Rinse chicken; pat dry with paper towel. Remove and discard skin, if desired. Arrange pieces in one layer in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Pour cranberry mixture over chicken pieces. Cover and chill several hours or overnight. Bake the chicken in the mixture uncovered in a 300 degree oven about 1 1/2 hours or until the chicken is done, stirring glaze and spooning over chicken once or twice. Serve the chicken and glaze on a platter of hot cooked rice, if desired. Makes 4 servings.

SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN
1 env. Lipton tomato soup mix
1 env. Lipton onion soup mix
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1 can crushed pineapple and juice
1 can of cranberry sauce
2 1/2 to 3 lbs. chicken
Cut chicken up and lay in a pan. Mix all ingredients except cranberry sauce and pour over chicken. Then add the cranberry sauce. Bake 1 hour at 375 degrees. Turn after 30 minutes. Very good!!

OVEN-BARBEQUED CHICKEN WINGS OR DRUMSTICKS
3-4 lbs. chicken wings, or drumsticks
2 bottles French dressing
1 lg. can whole cranberry sauce
1 pkg. onion soup mix
4-5 cloves garlic
Marinate chicken parts in French dressing and crushed garlic (overnight). Next day, arrange chicken in layers in 11x14 inch pan. Spread whole cranberry sauce. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over chicken. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 325 degrees for 3 - 3 1/2 hours; uncover last 1/2 hour

BAKED CHICKEN IN CRANBERRY SAUCE
1 cut up frying chicken
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1 jar French dressing (dark)
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Lay chicken pieces on bottom of pan. Mix the cranberry sauce and French dressing. Pour over the chicken. Sprinkle onion soup mix on top. Cover tightly. Bake 350 degrees for 2 hours, or until meat is tender.
