Recipe: Banana Tea Loaf (Waring blender recipe, 1960's)

BANANA TEA LOAF


1 3/4 cups sifted flour
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter, softened (or shortening)
2 small ripe bananas, sliced
3/4 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan.

Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt into a mixing bowl; set aside.

Put eggs, butter bananas and sugar in blender container. Cover and blend on high speed for 20 seconds.

Pour banana mixture over dry ingredients and mix just to combine. Turn into prepared pan.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for about 45 minutes.

Makes 1 (8x4-inch) loaf
