Recipe: Beefy Jalapeno Corn Bread

BEEFY JALAPENO CORN BREAD

1 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 can cream style corn
3 jalapeno peppers
1 lg. onion
8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
1 or 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

Combine all ingredients but meat. Set aside. Brown and drain meat. Set aside. Grease 10 1/2 inch iron skillet. Pour 1/2 cornmeal batter in skillet. Sprinkle evenly with meat, then chopped onion, then cheese. Pour remaining batter in and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
