Berry Jam

Blackberry, Blueberry, Boysenberry, Dewberry, Gooseberry, Loganberry, Raspberry, Strawberry

4 cups crushed berries
4 cups sugar

Remove any stems or caps. Crush fruit. Put very seedy berries through a seive or food mill.

Measure crushed berries and place in kettle. Add sugar, stir well. Bring to rapid boil. Stir often to prevent sticking. Boil until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and skim.

Pour into hot, sterile jars. Leave 1/4 inch head space. Clean jar rims. Seal with lids and bands. Makes about 4 pints.

I have made this recipe for years and enjoyed the jam. The book it came out of was copy writed in 1975. I hope you enjoy as much as I have.
