Best Two Egg Cake

This is the easiest cake and quick!

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cup cake flour
2 1/2 cup baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup and 2 Tbsp milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream shortening and sugar till light.
Add vanilla and eggs. Beat well.
Sift cake flour with baking powder and salt.
Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternating with milk.
Pour into two 9 1/2-inch greased and floured round pans.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
