Recipe(tried): Brenda's Corned Beef & Cabbage

Corned Beef & Cabbage

Ingredients:

3/4 pound corned beef (round is better than brisket if you can find it)
2 onions - sliced
2 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
6 small to medium potatoes
6 carrots
6 cabbage wedges

Place corned beef in pot to cook on top of stove & put just enough Hot Water to cover. Add: onions, garlic & seasoning. Cover & simmer l hour per pound of corned beef.

Remove meat. Add Carrots. Cover. Bring to boil & cook l0 minutes.

Add Potatoes & Cabbage & cook 20 minutes more.

May like to put glaze on corned beef by doing following:
Spread fat side with: Mustard; l/4 cup brown sugar; l/4 tsp. Ground cloves

Bake l5 - 20 minutes in oven in shallow pan .(about 350F)
