Recipe: Broccoli Raisin Salad

Broccoli Raisin Salad

2 bunches raw broccoli, chopped into florets
1/2 medium red onion, chopped
1 cup raisins
10 to 12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cider vinegar

Mix broccoli, onion, raisins, and bacon in a large bowl. Mix mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar and pour over broccoli mixture. Refrigerate 3 hours or more. Can be made one day ahead.

I have quite a few German recipes. I laughed when I saw everyone's messages--I'm on here looking for Swedish recipes for my troop. I should have picked Germany! Anyway, what kind of recipe are you looking for? I have a recipe for German Potato Salad (served warm), red cabbage, Jaegerschnitzel, Sauerbraten, spatzle. There are some German people in class with me and I have the following recipes from them: Pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing, captivating chicken, broccoli raisin salad, chocolate nut cake, mini pizza, and potatoes au gratin. Probably the easiest is the broccoli raisin salad, so here's the recipe. If you want any of the other recipes, just post to the board.
