Recipe(tried): Brussel Sprouts

Misc.

We did this at Christmas.

Steam the sprouts as usual. But leave them a little more crunchy than usual and
when cool cut in half.

Fry finely chopped bacon and onions along with some diced apple in a fair bit
of good butter until the onions and apple are softened, then add the sprouts,
saut for about 10 minutes so they soak up all the buttery juices. Yummy!!OR

Grate the spouts like you would a cabbage for coleslaw or just shred finely
with a knife and stir fry along with chillies and garlic and onions. This is a
real winner - people don;t realise what vegetable you used!
