Recipe: Butterscotch Yule Log Candy

Butterscotch Yule Log Candy

Melt together:
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
(OR 6 oz. each butterscotch and chocolate chips)
1 tablespoon margarine

Remove from heat and stir in:
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Stir in:
2/3 cup chopped nuts

For finishing:
Chopped nuts

Chill until firm enough to mold. Form into a log and roll in chopped nuts, pressing them into the surface. Wrap and chill. Cut into slices to serve.

Melt chips and margarine over hot water. Remove and stir in milk and vanilla. Add nuts, mix well. Chill until firm enough to handle. Form into roll, chill. Mark surface with fork, brush with egg white. Press nuts all over surface. Wrap and chill. Cut into slices.
