Recipe(tried): Campfire Snack Ideas - Angels on Horseback, Mock Anglefood Cake, Trail Mix for Jodie/Canada

Appetizers and Snacks
Hi Jodie :-) Here are a few ideas that I remember from my scouting days. I haven't made the first two in a lo-o-ong while.

Angels on Horseback

Bananas
Hershey's milk chocolate bars
Marshmallows

Using a sharp knife, slice into the banana lengthwise. Open the banana up a bit and insert squares of milk chocolate and marshmallows. Close. Wrap in heavy duty foil and bake in coals until chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Unwrap and enjoy :-) As I recall, you leave the banana in it's skin while cooking. Messy and good :-)

Mock Angelfood Cake

Poundcake
1 can Sweetened Condensed milk (not evaporated)
Flaked coconut

Cut poundcake into squares. Put a square of cake on a green stick. Roll in sweetened condensed milk, then in coconut. Toast over campfire. Messy and good :-)

Trail Mix

Combine equal amounts of M & M's, peanuts and raisins. Place in storage container or ziplock bag(s).
