Recipe: Cappuchino Blizzard and Homemade Coffee Syrup

FOR ONE SERVING:
1/4 cup Homemade Coffee Syrup (recipe follows)
1 tablespoon cream or milk
8 ice cubes, crushed or shaved
In a small bowl, stir together coffee syrup and the cream or milk.
Place the crushed ice in a chilled wine glass. Pour the coffee mixture over it, stirring once or twice and serve.
HOMEMADE COFFEE SYRUP
"Coffee syrup can be used as a base for several iced coffee drinks. It also makes a great topping for ice cream."
1 1/2 cups hot strong coffee
1 cup sugar
Combine coffee and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook 5 minutes. Let cool, cover and chill. Can be stored in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
