Recipe: Cherry Bars (using yellow cake mix and cherry pie filling)

CHERRY BARS

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (2-layer size) pkg. yellow cake mix
1 (20 oz) can cherry pie filling
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream

Mix together butter and cake mix and pat lightly into a greased 9x13 pan.

Bake for 10 minutes in a 350 degree F oven. Don't cool. Cover with Cherry Pie Filling. Mix together sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over pie filling. Beat egg and sour cream together. Drizzle over the top.

Bake about 25-30 minutes.

Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
