Recipe(tried): Chicken Liver Stew

I too have a fondness for chicken liver (and or) giblet stew. They were usually made with the liver lightly fried in oil, then diced onions, celery, green pepper, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning were added with enough water to come over the top by a couple of inches. This was simmered for about an hour, then thickened with a flour/water mixture.
When I make giblet stew, I just put them all into the pot without frying first, even if they have the liver in them.
