Recipe: Chili-Cheese Waffles serves with Salsa and Sour Cream (using Bisquick)

Breakfast and Brunch
CHILI-CHEESE WAFFLES

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 1/3 cups milk
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 egg
2/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
FOR SERVING:
1 cup salsa
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sliced green onions (with tops)

Heat waffle iron.

Beat baking mix, milk, chili powder, oil and the egg with wire whisk or hand beater until well blended. Stir in cheese.

Pour onto center of hot waffle iron (grease if necessary). Bake until steaming slows and waffle is golden brown. Remove carefully.

Serve with salsa, sour cream and onions.

Makes 6 servings
