Recipe(tried): Homemade Heath/Skor Candy Bars

Desserts - Candy, Chocolate
This is a recipe for a Heath or Skor type candy that tastes deliciously similar to the real thing.

HOMEMADE HEATH/SKOR CANDY BARS

1 cup sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine (not butter)
melted chocolate

Stir sugar and margarine together constantly over medium heat until it reaches hard crack with candy thermometer.

Pour immediately into a thin layer in a small sized aluminum pan (I like to use the disposable ones you buy at the store). Cool completely it will get hard.

Pour thin layer of melted chocolate over the toffee and let that cool completely.

Flip the coated cooled toffee over and repeat with more chocolate on other side let cool.

Just bust it into chunks because cutting neatly into squares is almost impossible and store in a an air tight container. You will love this if you're a Skor fan!!

Recipe can be doubled but don't do more than double in one batch otherwise they don't come out so good.
