Recipe: Chinese Braised Chicken Breasts (crock pot)

Chinese Braised Chicken Breasts

Servings: 6

1 cup onion, chopped
3 pounds skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 cup water
1/2 cup soy sauce, low sodium
2 tablespoons fresh ginger root, chopped
2 tablespoons sugar
1 clove garlic, chopped

Place 1/2 cup chopped onion in bottom of crock pot liner. Add chicken. Be sure to remove ALL visible fat! Combine water, soy sauce, chopped ginger, sugar and garlic. Pour over all. Add the other 1/2 cup chopped onion. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
