Recipe: Choke Cherry Jelly

Misc.
This one comes from "Abundance Across America" which is a TKL link. I have not tried it either. I do hope one of these works, BEW.

Chokecherry Jelly
Recipe by Shirley Barrick, Lewistown, MT

Wash and crush ripe fruit (at least 1 pound). Add 1 cup water and simmer 15 minutes or a little longer. Squeeze out
juice. Measure 3 cups juice and 1/2 cup lemon juice. Add 1 package pectin and stir well. Place over high heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly to avoid scorching. Add 4 1/2 cups sugar, premeasured. Mix well. Continue
stirring and bring to a full rolling boil. (A boil that cannot be stirred down.) Boil hard exactly 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Skim off foam and pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
