Coca Cola Chicken

chicken - 1 whole chicken
cummin powder - 4 tbs
coriander powder - 2 tbs
ginger paste - 4 tbs
garlic paste - 2 tbs
onion paste - 2 tbs
thin soya sauce - 5 tbs
thick soya sauce - 2 tbs
cinnamon stick - 1 small stick
cloves - 4 pcs
clove flowers - 2 pcs
coca cola - 200ml
corn oil - 6 tbs
water - 3 cups
salt - 1 tbs(approx)
clean the chicken and cut into small bite sizes
pour oil in a wok then fry the cinnamon stick,colves and cloves flower
when it pops,put the ginger,garlic,onion paste,fry till aroma rises
then put the cummin,coriander powder..in a slow fire ,fry well
after 5 min.,put the chicken in the wok and mix well
pour 3 cups of water,1 tbs salt(to your taste) and cover it..cook till the chicken becomes tender
put thin and thick soya sauce..cook for 5 min.
lastly pour the coca cola into the gravy..and serve it with plain rice.

Barbecue Coca-Cola Sauce
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup ketchup
1 cup Coca-Cola
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons molasses (may substitute brown sugar)
2 teaspoons white vinegar
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
6 servings
Mix all ingredients together.
Coat meat in sauce.
Place chicken or turkey pieces on baking pan (sprayed first with vegetable oil).
Bake at 325* for one hour or until done.
Alternate cooking methods: May cook in crockpot for 6-8 hours, or till done, or grill meat till done.

Serving Size : 4
1 Chicken -- cut up into 8 pieces
1/4 cup Apricot jam
1/4 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup Coca cola
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
2 teaspoons Soy sauce
3 tablespoons Onion soup powder
Put chicken in casserole dish. Put jam and ketchup in bowl. Mix well with spoon. Add coca cola, garlic powder, soy sauce, and onion soup mix. Mix with spoon. Pour mixture over chicken. Cover casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Remove cover and bake chicken uncovered for another 1/2 hour.
Serve this with rice.
