Recipe(tried): Coffee or Homemade Kahlua liquer

To Susan,
This recipe is easy and wonderful... best if aged a month or so.
Delicious over icecream,compliment to milk and definitely a favorite Christmas gift to share.

Kahlua

8-10 tsp instant coffee,
1 qt water
2 1/2 c. sugar

1 qt vodka or 1pt everclear

4 tsp vanilla

Simmer first three ingredients 45 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
Add vanilla and booze. Age in glass jug for best results.

I like to save pretty glass bottles from syrups,salad dressings etc for gift
giving.............................
