Recipe(tried): Cook-Ahead Hamburger in the Crock Pot or Roaster Oven

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
While I don't use a pressure cooker this is what I do:
I buy hamburger in 10-30 pound packages. For 30 pounds I use my big Nesco Roaster on low. For smaller amounts I use my largest crockpot on low. I just cook stirring occasionally until done. Drain off the grease, then season with salt, pepper, garlic, onion, season all, etc. The crock pot or roaster contains the grease and mess. I then freeze in zip lock bags. Great to have on hand for anything from tacos to spaghetti sauce. I use my crockpot when ever I cook hamburger, even in 1-2 pounds sizes. You don't have to watch so close and the mess is contained.

Hope this helps.

Smiles,
Denise
