Recipe(tried): Cornbread Dressing

Brenda, This recipe is off the Aunt Jemima Self-Rising White Cornmeal Mix sack. It is only one I use and very easy to make. Hope it is what you're looking for.

1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup butter
1 pan cornbread, cooled and crumbled (about 6 c.)
One 13 3/4 ounce can chicken broth
1 egg, beaten
2 t. poultry seasoning
1 to 1 1/2 t. ground sage
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. black pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Saute celery and onion in butter until tender. Combine celery mixture and remaining ingredients. Toss lightly until bread is throughly moistened. Place in 8-inch square baking pan or 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake 40-45 minutes. Or lightly stuff dressing inot body and neck cavity or a 12 lb. turkey. Roast according to standard directions.
