Recipe: Country Apples (crock pot)

COUNTRY APPLES

"You can serve these over ice cream, use as a crepe filling, or serve over oatmeal."

4 to 5 cups apples
2 Tbs. flour
1/3 cup white granulated sugar
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2/3 cup uncooked oatmeal
3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar

Peel, slice, and coat apples with flour and 1/3 cup sugar. Stir in the raisins, cinnamon, and oatmeal.

Pour 1 cup water into the crockpot. Add apple mixture to crockpot. Pour melted margarine over apples then brown sugar.

Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

Makes 6 servings
