Recipe: Cranberry Nut Bread (Pillsbury cookbook, yellow hardcover)

Breads - Muffins, Quick Breads
I have a yellow hardcover, ring bound Pillsbury cookbook. The Cranberry Nut bread recipe is on page 62 of my edition. Hopefully it is the same recipe.

CRANBERRY NUT BREAD

1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
2 cups unsifted Pillsbury flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan on the bottom only.

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs; blend in buttermilk.

Stir in remaining ingredients just until blended. Pour into the prepared pan.

Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
